NEWMEN introduces 32-inch version of the STREEM G.62

NEWMEN has introduced a new 32-inch version of the STREEM G.62. Originally launched earlier this year as a 28-inch wheelset, the gravel racing model is now available in a larger format, specifically developed for competitive gravel riding. With the new wheel size, NEWMEN aims to deliver improved rolling performance, increased grip and reliable control on challenging terrain.

The 32-inch G.62 builds on the design of the existing wheelset. Its aerodynamic carbon rim retains its 62 mm depth and 27 mm internal width, making it ideally suited to modern gravel tyres. The larger wheel diameter helps riders maintain speed over rough surfaces, while the rim construction contributes to riding comfort and stability in crosswinds. Thanks to the wider Boost hubs, the 32-inch wheelset offers stiffness comparable to the smaller version, without requiring additional or heavier spokes. This keeps the weight down to just 1,670 grams for the carbon-spoke version, only 140 grams more than its 28-inch counterpart.

During the development of the STREEM G.62, NEWMEN placed particular emphasis on achieving the right balance between aerodynamics, stability and comfort. The wide rim, measuring 45 mm externally, ensures smooth airflow around the tyre and rim. At the same time, the 27 mm internal width provides sufficient tyre support at lower pressures, while allowing the tyre sidewalls to remain flexible for additional riding comfort.

The G.62 also delivers impressive durability. With an impact resistance of more than 12.36 joules, the rim even meets NEWMEN's requirements for cross-country mountain bike wheels, with a maximum system weight of 130 kilograms.

The new 32-inch STREEM G.62 is available in two versions: with carbon spokes (CS) or steel spokes.

The G.62 has already achieved its first major success. At Sea Otter Europe, the new wheelset was ridden to victory in the first-ever UCI gravel race won on 32-inch wheels. This historic achievement highlights the potential of the larger wheel diameter in competitive gravel racing.
