With the new Bosch Performance Line CX motor in the 2025 CUBE e-bikes, every ride becomes even more enjoyable. Whether you’re commuting in the city or tackling mountain trails, the CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid, Reaction Hybrid, and Stereo Hybrid always offer the perfect combination of power, range, and control. Thanks to the improved drive unit, the new batteries, and the intuitive display, you’ll enjoy smoother assistance and more miles on a single charge with the new CUBE e-bikes.
The new Bosch Performance Line CX motor, with 85 Nm of torque and 600 watts of power, is the powerful heart of the new CUBE e-bikes. With improved sensor technology, the motor responds precisely to pedal input, allowing cyclists to tackle any challenge smoothly and with control.
Inertial sensors (IMU) also measure acceleration and rotation speeds in six dimensions, and recognise inclination and tilt angles as well as vibrations. This means that the eMTB “knows” how steep the ascent is and whether e-bikers are on a forest path or a root-covered trail. With the new hill start assist you can ride off in relaxed manner and with full traction. Thanks to the sensors, the eMTB knows how steep the slope is and provides optimum support. Also new: with the walk assistance feature, the drive unit adapts the pushing speed to the walking speed.
The new CX motor is quieter and lighter than ever. When riding downhill, the external drivetrain (chain, chainring, cassette) is decoupled from the internal drivetrain (freewheel, gearbox, motor). This further reduces the mechanical noise generated by comparable drive units on the trail. The full focus remains on the trail and nature. The weight of the Performance Line CX has also been reduced by around 100 grams compared to the previous version. Furthermore, its magnesium housing withstands the toughest conditions. A black powder coating protects against stone chips and damage as well as corrosion.
With the new PowerTube 800 battery in the latest CUBE e-bikes, you can take on longer rides without worrying about recharging. The PowerTube 600 is also newly added to the lineup, and since both batteries share the same size, they are easily interchangeable without the need for an adapter. Both batteries are significantly lighter as well. The PowerTube 800, for example, weighs 400 grams less than the 750 Wh version. And for those seeking even more range, the PowerMore 250 is an option – a bottle-sized extra battery that adds up to 1050 Wh of total capacity.
The new Purion 400 display complements the Performance Line CX, featuring a minimalist design tailored for eMTBs and optimally protected within the handlebar triangle. The 1.6-inch transmissive display, which remains easily readable in bright sunlight, provides a clear overview of useful data such as speed, range, power output, and total distance. You’ll find the new Purion 400 display on the carbon Stereo Hybrid ONE44 models and all Stereo Hybrid ONE77 models.
The Bosch Flow app is a handy tool for e-bikers who want more control and convenience during their rides. With the app, you can easily plan your routes, adjust the motor support to your preferences, and view live data such as speed, range, and battery status. One convenient feature is Range Control, which allows you to set exactly how much battery you want to have left when you reach your destination. This way, you never have to worry about running out of power on longer rides.
The app also ensures your e-bike is always up to date with the latest software. You can even personalize the motor settings based on your riding style, whether you need maximum support on steep trails or more efficient riding during long trips. With the Bosch Flow app, you get the most out of your CUBE.
