CUBE’s latest UK-based CUBE Store in Southampton opened its doors on Friday 4th November in Brunswick Place Southampton, a thriving and popular city centre location with a range of shops, bars, restaurants, galleries and gyms. The store is also a short distance from Southampton Cultural Centre, the beating heart of Southampton and a vibrant and arts-enriched space. The store commands a 30-meter frontage directly opposite East Park, one of Southampton’s most outstanding green spaces and a perfect spot for taking a bike for a test ride.
In store you will find a great selection of electric and non-electric bikes from CUBE, choose from over a hundred eye-catching models in the CUBE range, each offering high performance at attractive prices. Also in store is a full selection of cycling accessories and clothing, from lights to water bottles, bike locks to saddle bags, mudguards and more, plus helmets, cycling clothing and gloves.
EV parking bays are directly outside which were the city’s first on-street electric vehicle charging points. By car Brunswick Place part of the A3024 and the much-improved Northern Inner Ring Road connects directly to the A33, the main arterial route north of the city, where it joins the M3 at junction 4. Kings Park Road bus stop is just a few minutes away and the store is a pleasant 13-minute walk away from Southampton Central Station.
CUBE Store Southampton is partnered with and working alongside The Electric Bike Shop, which is UK’s electric bike specialist. The company now has 10 stores, including their most recent opening in Cardiff. The Electric Bike Shop and CUBE Bikes UK took over the Southampton store from Pure Electric in August this year, retaining the majority of the store colleagues and welcoming them into the CUBE and TEBS family.
Store Manager Ryan Bennett is assisted in store by Alastair Matchett and Matthew Abson alongside Workshop Manager Brandon Keates. “We are very excited about the opening of the latest CUBE Store in the UK. With our close-knit team we offer a wealth of experience regarding everything cycling,” says Ryan. “In our new store, you can get the full CUBE experience and find everything you’ll need for your cycling adventures.”
“We are very happy that we can take this step with a strong partner like TEBS,” says Dan White, Director of CUBE Bikes UK. “In our new CUBE Store, consumers can experience what our brand stands for and now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of CUBE. The store in Southampton will be the first store in the UK to have CUBE 2023 bikes and accessories on the shop floor.”
Karl Haden CEO of The Electric Bike Shop: “We are thrilled to be working with CUBE on this new venture, there is no better place to launch the new CUBE Store than in Southampton and introduce this well-respected and prestigious cycling shopping experience to a new UK audience.”

CUBE is established in 1993 in Waldershof, Bavaria by Marcus Puerner. It started by importing a small number of bicycles to sell in the area. Soon they were designing bike frames and building bikes with the best components from around the world. The current product portfolio consists of more than 400 different bikes and e-bikes, as well as an extensive collection of clothing and accessories, which are distributed in more than 60 countries.
At CUBE's headquarters in Germany, the dedicated team of engineers is constantly striving to improve designs, materials and production processes. CUBE is driven by the pursuit of getting the most out of every bicycle and develops as much as possible in-house.
Every product goes through rigorous testing in CUBE’s in-house test lab. The requirements set for the safety and function of all bikes are well above standard thresholds. They are then put through their paces in the real world by our engineers and team riders. The result is an uncompromising combination of outstanding function, low weight, optimal stiffness and maximum safety.
CUBE builds bikes that embody the pure essence of cycling, that allow us to discover the world and which you can't wait to ride. Every bike in our range is the culmination of CUBE's passion and know-how. Because CUBE wants the best for everyone.
The ever-expanding cycling chain Electric Bike Shop believes that electric bikes are the future. Letting more people get out onto two wheels, getting people out of traffic jams, and helping friends and families spend more time together are just some of the benefits that became the driving force behind The Electric Bike Shop.
